The 2008 Vipers fought hard in their debut performance in the Alameda Estuary Tournament. The Opening game was a runaway 17-1 win over Albany-Berkeley. The Vipers then faced Alameda for the championship. Despite a masterful pitching performance from Janice Cooper, Alameda outlasted Oakland and won 3-2 in the bottom of the last inning.
